Borders can do both protect and divide but, I feel it divides most of the time. I say this because of the physical borders keeps people out of certain areas. I recognize the imaginary borders often because of the generation we are living in. I refer to borders as boundaries, everyone has different views of their boundaries. There is a lot of borders from different cultures and most definitely through race that we don't recognize.
